The decision to create this tree came from a phone call with my brother Douglas, we  were talking about when we were children,he said we should be writing our childhood  memories while we can still remember them. 
  That afternoon I had my very first computer lesson.Bob my husband took on the task  as my teacher,by the end of the day,I was well on my way looking for information on  past family.Two weeks later we went to Malmsbury Victoria,to where the Veach- Menere family began.My Great Grandfather George Henry Veach was born in Truro  Cornwall England in 1836,he came to Australia,when he was 22 years old.        On the 31st October 1866 at Saint John's Church Malmsbury Victoria,George married  Elizabeth Mary Menere,who was born in Dundalk Ireland 1847,They had ten children,  William Theodore(1867)and Gustavus Richard George(1872)both died as babies,they are  buried in the same grave at the Malmsbury Cemetery,their grave is marked only with a  number,we are havig a headstone made,and will have it placed on their grave next  autumn. My Grandfather,George and Elizabeth's fifth child Ernest Henri Menere Veach  was born on the 28th of October 1873,at their family home in Bennett Street  Malmsbury, 
  On the 19th of December 1899,in Rockhampton Queensland,Ernest married Catherine Jane  Cumming,they had ten 
 children,our dear Father(their second child)Leslie Ernest Lawerence Veach was born in  Charles Street North Rockhampton on the 22nd of September 1901.   I would like to thank my brother Doug for all his help with this ongoing  project,also for always just being there over the years,we will now be able to leave  this family history for our children and our precious grandchildren and future  generations. Last but not least thank you to Bob for the ongoing computure  lessons,also his paticence(well most of the time)when I would wake him at all hours  of the night to tell him what I had found on the computer,on my birthday,Bob asked me  if there was something special he could buy,of course the the choice was easy,a day  at the Footscray Cemetery Melbourne looking for the graves of the Veach-Menere  family.We were in Truro England this year,we saw the church where George Henry's  parents were married,also the street where they lived,Bob also saw the house his  family lived in,before coming to Australia,so it was all pretty special. A new leaf  on our family tree was Jesse Val Ray Burgess he was born on the 29TH of October  2008,he is from the O'Dell side.New leaf for 2009 was Louis Ryan Wogan,born on  the 5TH January 2009,he is the fifth Grandchild of Douglas Veach,A very precious new leaf our fifth  grandchild Jaydee O'Dell born 4th June 2013,our tree continues  to grow.
